We are pleased to share the progress achieved by the project “Empowering Learning through AI” (ELAI), an Erasmus+ initiative dedicated to innovation in vocational education and training. The project, code 2025-1-IT01-KA210-VET-000355996, involves organisations from Italy, Cyprus, Denmark and Spain. Its shared objective is to make training more accessible, personalised and aligned with the real needs of trainers and learners through the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
ELAI is structured into five interconnected activities. After the kick-off meeting held in Córdoba on 3 and 4 November 2025, the partnership launched the project coordination process, completed the development and testing of the Activity 2 tools, and started Activity 3, which is currently being finalised. Activities 4 and 5 will represent the next phases of work.
November 2025 – November 2026: Activity 1 – Project coordination and management
As coordinator, Consilia Formazione Srl ensures the overall management of the project, the coordination among partners and the monitoring of activities. Following the kick-off meeting held in Spain, the project management plan, the monitoring indicators framework (KPIs), the risk register with related mitigation measures, and the shared templates for minutes, progress reports, communication and dissemination planning were defined. A shared digital workspace was also activated to organise and store project documentation. Activity 1 continues throughout the project and enables the partnership to work in a coordinated, transparent way that is consistent with the shared objectives.
First operational phase: Activity 2 – AI tools for skills and adaptive tutoring
Private Institute C.F. Elite Tutors Ltd coordinated the first operational phase of the project, dedicated to developing practical resources to help trainers integrate artificial intelligence into skills assessment and personalised learning processes. The package developed includes a Methodological Guide, three AI-guided checklists focused on digital literacy, green skills and social entrepreneurship, and five sets of ready-to-use templates for designing personalised training activities, learning plans and targeted feedback.
The results produced under Activity 2 were tested in all four partner countries, involving three VET trainers per organisation, for a total of twelve trainers. The feedback collected from trainers during the pilot tests made it possible to revise and improve the materials, making them clearer, more practical and easier to use in everyday training activities.
Current phase: Activity 3 – Toolkit for green skills and social entrepreneurship
The Common Ones coordinates Activity 3, which is currently being finalised. Based on research conducted across the different national contexts of the partnership, an operational Toolkit has been developed to support trainers and participants in addressing topics related to sustainability and social impact in a practical way.
The Toolkit is structured into two short training tracks, each organised as an eight-block sprint. The Green Lens track guides participants in analysing the environmental impact of products and processes through Lifecycle Thinking, meaning the analysis of the different stages of the life cycle. The Impact Lens track instead uses the Problem Tree to help groups of learners identify the causes and effects of a social problem.
Each track includes a trainer guide, worksheets, a final Canvas and prompts for artificial intelligence. Once the materials have been finalised, the Toolkit will be tested in the partner countries by at least twelve VET trainers. The feedback collected will be used to verify its usability, effectiveness and adaptability to different training contexts.
Next phase: Activity 4 – AI and international mobility
Europroyectos Erasmus Plus will lead the phase dedicated to integrating artificial intelligence into international mobility pathways. The aim is to prepare simple and useful resources to support people before, during and after their experience abroad: tools for initial preparation, progress monitoring and final reporting of results. In this way, AI can help make mobility more accessible, personalised and aligned with participants’ needs.
Final phase: Activity 5 – Dissemination and impact assessment
Consilia Formazione Srl will coordinate the final phase of the project, dedicated to disseminating the results and assessing the impact of training through AI tools. The resources developed will be shared with trainers, educational organisations, companies, institutions and other interested stakeholders through online and offline channels, publications, press releases, newsletters, video materials and European platforms such as EPALE.
A final conference is also planned in Italy, with the participation of at least 30 stakeholders, during which the main project results will be presented.
As part of the same activity, an AI-Enhanced Impact Assessment Toolkit will be developed to assess the impact of training. This tool will include monitoring systems generated with the support of artificial intelligence to help trainers and organisations evaluate participant engagement, skills development and the overall effectiveness of training pathways.
In the coming months, the consortium will complete Activity 3 and launch its pilot testing in the partner countries. The work will then continue with the tools dedicated to international mobility and with dissemination and impact assessment activities.
